“Random Thought – 9/19”

I was having a deep conversation with a friend of mine the other day about the world’s issues, We do that from time to time. It’s refreshing to have conversations with people that require intellectual thought, and to be able to express your opinions without being judged or reprimanded, quite a rarity these days.

We were talking about greed, and she says to me, “They always say “money is the root of all evil.”

This quote has always been misinterpreted,   It is not money, that is the root of all evil.  If you have a room filled with money and there’s no one there to fight over it, it harms no one. 

It is “the love of money, that is the root of all evil.” or in laymen terms: greed.

Anything in this world can be exploited which is why intellect is not enough, we need to seek wisdom to understand the power our knowledge wields.  We can use that knowledge to create weapons capable of destroying millions of people, or we can use it to develop vaccines to cure them instead.

It is always our choice.

I don’t believe in destiny, and I know good cannot exist in the world without evil, but we created the world as it is today. 

Have we not realized the real battle rages within us? 

We are all capable of doing bad things, but we’re also capable of doing great things.

Go out and seek that wisdom and understanding for yourself, don’t let others dictate how you live your life, after all, it is your life, shouldn’t you start taking control of it?.

I’m deciding today, to start taking back control of my life.  I can no longer allow myself to be consumed by anger, greed, and the desire for power because, in the end, we all become maggot food.
